As an instructor of the Environmental Technology program at New Brunswick Community College in Miramichi, he has been responsible for the training of students, curriculum renewal and management, program administration, coordinating applied research and national certification management all within the environmental sector.  Over the past several years he has been both sector lead and content expert for the Environmental Sector for the post-secondary provincial college system.  Environmental courses taught at the college include Air Quality, GIS, Environmental Restoration, Hydrology, and Industrial Processes. 

Linwood currently sits as Chair of the Miramichi River Environmental Assessment Committee.  He has previously volunteered his time with other organizations including the New Brunswick Society of Technicians and Technologists, Canadian Land Reclamation Association,  Ecoaction Canada, and the Tabusintac Watershed Association. 

Linwood has over twenty years of diversified experience in the environmental field, working in the areas of consulting, environmental non-profit, and post-secondary environmental education instruction. As a consultant, his past and current duties have included management, treatment, monitoring, and sampling of surface water; soil and landfill remediation; environmental management of construction activities; industrial waste monitoring; fish habitat assessment; wetland delineation; and environmental risk assessments.


His educational background includes a Masters of Science degree in Environmental Practice and a Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, both from Royal Roads University.  He also has a diploma in Environmental Technology at the New Brunswick Community College.
